Debbie Wilkerson

Founder & Director

A life-long resident of Greenfield, Debbie opened Wilkerson Dance Studio in 1976, downtown Greenfield. She designed and built the current facility in 1984 and expanded in 2013.

Debbie created the Greenfield Golden Girls program through the local Parks and Recreations

Department in 1990. The poms/dance group later added the Jr. Blue Fusion program. These groups now operate exclusively through Wilkerson Dance Studio, LLC.

Along with teaching, Debbie has always enjoyed choreographing for local theater and schools. She has served as a competition judge, guest teacher for other studios and created dance programs for schools and day cares. She is a lifetime member of Professional Dance Teachers Association.

Debbie has always supported the arts community in Hancock County by teaching dance in the school

system, supporting the school dance teams, providing entertainment for community events and nursing homes, sitting

on the board of Friends of the Theater-Hancock County and raising money for local charities and arts

organizations. She was honored to be inducted into the Greenfield-Central Hall of Fame in 2019.
